I now finally feel as though i live here. I have a house - although not yet a home - and that has given me a base.. now i just need to learn how to deal with my housemates coming home at 3am, drunk with a party crew and turning the music up loudly..
So today i am tired.. having been woken up at 3, 4:30 by the call to prayer and 5:30 by the sun streaming into my window (i need curtains).. but i am optimistic.. i have a house in a great spot.. just need to deal with thursday nights.. maybe they can have the music a bit quieter.. maybe i can hide the speakers...

I know i probably should go out with them, but being in a 'dry' country i really don't feel like partying that hard.. and seeing them hungover this morning, i really don't!!
but.. today i am off to dunefest.. a music festival in the desert.. nothing special, but loads of expats getting out for one big gig and chill out day.. looking forward to it.. should be a fun day out - and my first desert and camping experience here!!!
Thank you for your visit Dan.

There is no window in this room
Not that I really miss the view
It's just that I may soon forget the way the grass looks when it's wet
